Getting started

Palavora turns reading into a practical daily routine. Here is how the main parts work together.

  1. Read

Open a story from My Library and read at your own pace. Available audio lets you connect spelling with sound, while selecting a word shows the tools available for that word.

    • Use the reading controls to keep your place and adjust the text to your preference.
    • When you finish, rate the reading and complete any available follow-up exercise.
  2. Explore

Use Find stories to browse the available library. Preview a story to check its level, topics, and details before adding it to My Library.

    • Search by title or author when you want something specific.
    • Adding some stories uses one text credit; the button tells you before a credit is used.
  3. My Words

Save useful meanings while you read. My Words becomes your personal word bank and schedules saved vocabulary for review over time.

    • Save the meaning that fits the sentence instead of every possible definition.
    • Return when words are due and assess how well you remembered each one.
  4. Exercises

Exercises help you use what you encountered instead of only recognizing it. They include vocabulary review, reading follow-ups, and the daily Your Turn writing prompt.

    • Complete reading follow-ups after finishing a story to check understanding.
    • Use Your Turn to practise producing the language in your own words.
  5. Streaks

Your streak records days when you complete a meaningful learning activity. One qualifying activity is enough to continue the streak for that day.

    • A reading rating, vocabulary review, reading exercise, or Your Turn response counts.
    • The streak indicator fills when today is complete and uses the time zone saved on your account.
